Every library needs support, assistance, guidance and input from the community in order to respond to the needs of the residents and to comply with the directives of the legal body that oversees its operation. National City Public Library has a Library Board of Trustees responsible for guiding major operations, long term directions and decision-making.
The Library Board Of Trustees is regulated by Education Code Section 18910 ET SEQ., Ordinance 1062 and Resolution 8210. Five members are appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council for a three year term ending June 30th.
The Library Board of Trustees meets the second Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm in the Library Meeting Room at 1401 National City Blvd. Current Board Members are:
